Disclaimer

​“The British Mountaineering Council recognises that climbing and mountaineering activities come with a danger of personal injury or death. Participants in these activities should be aware of and accept these risks and be responsible for their own actions and involvement.”  – BMC.

​Booking Confirmation

​To make a booking, please contact Wilderness Navigators through the online booking form, completing all sections required. Once an enquiry has been received, Wilderness Navigators will contact you to arrange details. The person making the booking must be over 18 years old, and if in charge of booking for a group then this person must possess the authority to act on behalf of the group. 

Bookings are not confirmed until Wilderness Navigators have received a deposit payment. Payments are to be made via PayPal, this will offer security to both parties. A confirmation receipt will be sent once payment has been confirmed. Please note, deposits are non-refundable.

Once a booking has been confirmed, an invoice will be sent via email containing full details of the booking. Once you receive this invoice, it is your responsibility to check all details in the document are correct. If any details are incorrect then the lead booker should contact us within 7 days. 

​Your Responsibility

It is your responsibility to ensure that you have an adequate level of fitness and good health to be able to undertake any expeditions. It is also your responsibility to make sure that you have the correct clothing, footwear, food, drinks and any other items of kit that you have been advised to bring along as part of your joining instructions. Wilderness Navigators shall not be liable for any injuries sustained during any expedition. You must be aware of the risks that are associated with this nature of exercise and must also acknowledge that your personal safety remains with you.

It is also strongly advised that you have appropriate insurance to cover circumstances such as personal accident, medical expenses, damage to property, cancellations, travel and public liability as Wilderness Navigators cannot accept liability for any loss or damage beyond our control.

It is the responsibility of the Client to report any sustained injuries at the time of occurrence so that a medical assessment can be conducted, and treatment can commence.  

​Disruptive or dangerous behaviour and use of illegal substances will not be tolerated in any event and will lead to the immediate termination of the expedition with no refunds given.

Cancellation and Changes to Your Booking

​If you need to cancel or change your booking for any reason, we require the lead booker to notify Wilderness Navigators in writing as soon as possible via email but you may still be liable for costs, please see below:

Wilderness Navigators will try to accommodate any changes requested but cannot guarantee that this will be possible once the deposit is paid.

​​​Force Majeure

​Wilderness Navigators shall not be liable to any Clients for any delay or failure to perform its obligations under this Waiver where such delay or failure is caused by an unforeseeable or unavoidable event or circumstance that is beyond reasonable control, provided that the Expedition Leaders shall use all reasonable endeavours to mitigate the effects of such circumstances.

In such instances we will not offer a refund of your deposit or offer a refund for the cost of the expedition, instead there will be an alternative date offered to suit at no extra cost. Examples of such events are war, threat of war, natural or nuclear disaster, terrorist activities, adverse weather conditions and anything else that is deemed to be out of our control.

​Copyright - Photographs and Images

​As a business that thrives on social media coverage Wilderness Navigators take copyright very seriously. These images spread the word of the great work that we do and we would appreciate that these are only shared as part of the original post or the expeditions that you are taking part in and we ask that you tag Wilderness Navigators as part of your sharing experience.  These images are individual photographs that have been taken by members of the team and should not be reused, should you wish to use our images you will need to contact the team in advance for prior consent if you haven’t been on one of the expeditions, we can discuss terms of use. 

​In relation to personal photographs for our website, Wilderness Navigators require you to advise in advance if you would not like to be photographed for media purposes.

​Environment

Wilderness Navigators endorse a Green approach to looking after our environment. Therefore, during our expeditions all waste is carried and disposed of in the correct manner. Wilderness Navigators oppose harm to the environment or wildlife, and we do our upmost to stick to approved routes and tracks where possible.
